X-CALIBR™ Project: Tokoroa Industrial Portal Building
The requirements
A private developer was keen to help grow Tokoroa, and wanted to build a high-quality industrial portal building to expand his portfolio. They needed the building to be cost effective, made to last and large - almost 1,000 sqm total.

How Central Steel Framing delivered
Central Steel Framing (CFS) manufactured the building’s rafters, columns, purlins and girts using the X-CALIBRTM structural roll-formed system. The system’s design means it is as strong as structural steel while using significantly less raw material. The CSF team were also able to reduce labour costs by delivering completely prefabricated structural members - no need for drilling, cutting, welding or measuring.
The materials were trucked to the site, and the portal installation was completed in just over 4 hours with a crane and access lifting platform. Easy.
